HIGH winds have caused delays to the start of the Creamfields music festival today (Friday) with visitors being told to stay in their vehicles for safety until gates open.

Organisers have announced that due to the high wind conditions onsite, there will be a delay to public arenas and gates opening.

An update was put on the Creamfields website this morning stating: “For customers who have already arrived on site today, please remain in your vehicles for safety until gates open. We expect the high winds to pass by mid-morning. Please follow our social channels and App notifications for updates. Thanks for your patience.

“Important information for all campers on site regarding weather conditions that are expected on site during the early hours of Friday morning. An earlier Update said: “We are experiencing high gusts of wind onsite, for safety we urge campers to stay in their tents, we expect the winds to pass by mid-morning.Please speak to security or go to Welfare if you need help or assistance.”

Safety notices have also been posted.

Tent Safety
If you’re camping, please make sure your tent is securely pegged down. We recommend using additional guy lines and pegs to ensure stability in the wind. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of your tent, as they can become dangerous in strong gusts. We advise campers stay inside their tents during high winds for safety.

Loose Items
Please secure any loose items around your campsite and within the festival grounds. High winds can cause objects to become hazardous projectiles, so keep your area tidy.

Temporary Structures
Our team is conducting regular inspections of all stages, tents, and other temporary structures to ensure they’re safe and secure. Some areas may be temporarily closed or have restricted access during the wind event for your safety.

Be Aware
Stay informed by listening to announcements on-site and following our official social media channels for real-time updates. If you see anything that concerns you, please report it to the nearest staff member or security personnel.

Movement Around the Site
When moving around the festival, be cautious of your surroundings, especially in open areas where winds may be stronger. Take extra care near large structures and avoid standing close to temporary fencing or signage.

Your Safety is or Utmost Priority
Your safety is our utmost priority, and we’re taking all necessary precautions to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience for everyone. Please take these weather conditions seriously and follow any instructions from our staff on the ground.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] or speak to a member of security onsite. If you need help or assistance please go to Welfare
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Let’s work together to make this a safe and unforgettable Creamfields!
