Warrington based youth theatre group CODYS are about to return to the stage with its new production – a musical adaptation of the classic story “The Wind in the Willows”.
The musical follows the characters of Toad, Mole, Ratty & Badger as they embark on a series of misadventures caused by Toad’s need for speed. Toad is imprisoned for theft and must escape to defend his home from the Wild Wooders. With the help of Mr. Badger, the old boxing champion, the characters fight the Weasels to recapture Toad Hall.
CODYS has been running for nearly 30 years and led to several performers from the area going on to work professionally within the industry.
CODYS are determined to rise to the challenge and continue its legacy of producing first-class shows after almost 30 years.
The group has achieved a lot of success since facing challenges following Covid. They have recently performed a musical review with fellow am dram Encore Productions, achieved success with ‘Footloose’ and raised over £1500 from a sponsored Danceathon.
