Road set to close for up to two weeks for electrical upgrade works

A road closure is set to come into force next month (September) on a residential road off Lovely Lane, Warrington, to allow electrical upgrade and service renewal works.

Work is scheduled by Scottish Power to start on St Barnabas Place from September 6th.

Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Saint Barnabas Place from its junction with Lovely Lane to its junction with Saint Barnabas Place Passageway Gable of 2.
The Order will be effective from 6th September 2024 for 2 weeks, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Lovely Lane, Collin Street, Bostock Street and vice versa. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out electrical upgrade and service renewal works.
