Motorway closed after lorry overturns

THE M6 has been closed at Thelwall Viaduct, near Warrington as a result of a lorry overturning in high winds.
There is queuing traffic on the northbound carriageway between Junction 20 (the Lymm Interchange) and Junction 21 with the A57 at Woolston.
Diversions are in operation – but police are asking drivers to try and avoid the area.
The motorway is heavily congested all the way to Junction 19 with the A556 at Knutsford.
There is also heavy congestion on the M56 Weaver Viaduct near Frodsham at the junction with the A557 as a result of high winds.
