New changing rooms planned

PLANS for improved changing facilities at council-owned playing fields in Warrington are to be put to local planning chiefs.
The scheme – which is recommended for approval – involves replacing the existing changing room block at Dallam Playing Fields, in Longshaw Street. The existing accommodation would be demolished.
Changing rooms were originally built on the site in 1975 and extended in 2001. An equipment storage container was added in 2003.
Planners say the proposals will result in improved changing facilities without any off of playing field space.
The Environment Agency raise no objections, but point out the area is in the floodplain of Dallam Brook and advise measures to protect against flooding.
