POLICE and fire services are asking the public if they have any information about a fire which started in an industrial unit at Warrington.
Fire crews responded to a report of smoke coming from under the door of the unit at Garrett Field, Birchwood.
They gained entry through a ground floor window and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
A large industrial fan was used to clear smoke from the building.
Anyone who can help with details of how the fire may have started should call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Fire crews were also called to a flooding incident, affecting electrics, at Kings Club, St Mary’s Street, Latchford, Warrington.
They discovered about six inches of water in the basement and used pumping equipment to remove the water.
It is believed the flooding was caused by a drainage problem.
