MORE road works are scheduled at Latchford, Warrington, later this month to allow Scottish Power to carry out network reinforcement works.

It is one of a number of works taking place around the Warrington area and will involve the closure of Grammar School Road, southbound from Maybrook Place to Station Road for up to one week.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Grammar School Road (southbound traffic) from its junction with Maybrook Place to its junction with Station Road.
The Order will be effective from 26th August 2024 for 1 week, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Grammar School Road, Knutsford Road, Wash Lane and Station Road. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out network reinforcement works.
