WARRINGTON kept their Cheshire Cricket League title chase on track with an incredible one run victory at home to Bredbury St Marks.

Asked to bat first, they hit 170-8, opener Liam Jenkins top-scoring with 51. Asmir Ali hit 32 and James Lewis 29.
The visitors got off to a good start but Brad Roden took 4-30 and there was a flurry of run-outs as Bredbury sensed a possible victory. In the end the last wicket fell on the last ball of the match with the visitors just one run short.
Grappenhall lost by 26 runs at Neston – a match they should have won if they are to stay in the top flight of Cheshire County Cricket.
Neston are one place below Grappers in the ECB Premier leagie table – once place above the relegation zone so are on the list of “must beat” teams.
Grappers won the toss and decided to field first.
The home side hit 233-7 despite good bowling from the Grappers attack. Sam Guest and Joe Ashmore each picked up three wickets.
The target appeared gettable and at 82-1 Grappers looked good for a win. But there followed something of a collapse and the loss of the usually dependable Tom MacRory without scoring was a major setback. At 87-4 things looked far less favourable and at 127-7 it was a bleak picture.
James Knowles, 28 not out and Lucas Read, 21, fought hard but Grappers could only muster 207.
Top scorer was William Fell with 44.
Lymm Oughtrington Park won the derby match with Appleton by 52 runs.
Skipper Shovan Chattergee top scored with 42 not out as Lymm totalled 200-7. Appleton skipper Adam Pearson hit 43 but his side were bowled out for 148, Rich Parkinson taking 5-43.
Glazebury lost by seven wickets at Offerton after hitting 128, skipper Sean Caine top scoring with 39.
