People are being encouraged to take part in a fun run at Gulliver’s World in September to help raise funds for St Rocco’s Hospice.

On Sunday, September 22, the Warrington theme park will see 1,000 runners – many in fancy dress – welcomed to the park for the Gulliver’s Family Fun Run.
For the runners, the entry is just £12.50, with £2.50 going directly to St Rocco’s. Registration for the Fun Run starts at 9.00am, with warm up at 9.30am, and the race starting from 9.45am. The route weaves its way through the resort’s thrilling rides and attractions.
Craig Clews, resort director at Gulliver’s World, said: “We are looking forward to a fantastic day and can’t wait to welcome everyone to the park – runners and non-runners!  All runners will receive a Fun Run certificate at the finish line, and those in fancy dress can win competition prizes.
“Events like this are our opportunity to give something back to the community, and we want to raise as much money as possible to support the incredible team at St Rocco’s. The hospice has been providing palliative and end-of-life care and bereavement support for the Warrington area since opening in 1985.”

The rides and attractions will open at 10.30am on the day as normal. The park, which this year is celebrating its 35th birthday, has more than 50 rides, attractions, shows and activities including The Wriggler, Desperado Drop and The Antelope Wooden Coaster.
Gulliver’s World also has a wide range of accommodation options, with an onsite hotel offering Unicorn, Cowboy, Sweetie and Pirate-themed rooms, along with themed dens, lodges and tipis in Wilderness Wharf.
