WARRINGTON Town old boy Chris Gahgan returned to sink his former team mates as play-off chasing Witton Albion secured a 2-0 victory at Cantilever Park in front of a bumper crowd.
With the game evenly balanced 0-0 at the break Gahgan pounced early in the second half in front of more than 300 fans at Cantilever Park.
Four minutes later Witton doubled their advantage through a Tony Sheehan penalty as the game became a scrappy affair with nine players booked, including six from Warrington.
Both teams had chances in the first half with Gahgan missing the best chance of the half, seeing his effort going just wide of the post.
Gahgan left Cantilever Park after four years with his home town club earlier this month and has now scored three goals in three games for his new club.
Warrington are now next back in action on January 2 when they travel to Cammell Laird, kick off 3pm.
