Oktoberfest set to return to Walton Hall and Gardens

OKTOBERFEST is set to return to Warrington’s Walton Hall and Gardens again this September and October – and promises to be bigger and better than before.

The event is a celebration of German culture and tradition, as the Old Riding School is transformed into a traditional German Brau Haus, filled with long benches, steins, authentic cuisine and the sounds of a live Oompah band.

Following last year’s successful debut, the event will be taking place over two weekends, giving guests even more chances to join in with the celebrations.
Oktoberfest’s launch weekend will take place on Friday and Saturday, September 27 and 28, and will close the following weekend on Friday and Saturday, October 4 and 5.

Cllr Tony Higgins, the borough council’s cabinet member for communities, culture and leisure, said: “I’m delighted that Oktoberfest is returning to Walton again, this time for an extended run.
“The team did an incredible job transforming the Old Riding School last year, which changed the space into a traditional German Brau Haus and brought a brilliant atmosphere.
“Whether you’re a long-time fan of Oktoberfest, or if you’ve never experienced it before, this is an event not to be missed, so make sure to get your tickets before they sell out!”
Tickets for Oktoberfest are £15 plus booking fee and will go on sale from 10am on Friday August 2. To find out more and to book your tickets, visit: waltonhallgardens.co.uk/oktoberfest.
The event should not be confused with the annual Warrington Rotary Oktoberfest which takes places at Warrington Parr Hall from October 24-26.
