ANN Harvey, a member of Culcheth High School’s cleaning team for 19 years, has retired.
She has seen five head teachers come and go, extensions and refurbishment in the old school, the big move to the new school and demolition of the old.
School business manager Amanda Stevens said: “Ann’s work ethic is second to none. She never complains, works with a smile and is always prepared to help others.
“She will be a difficult act to follow and the school staff and students have much to thank her for.”
Amanda made a presentation to her at school and wished her a long and happy retirement.
Ann’s reply: “I don’t plan to be idle. I want to travel – but not until some home renovation projects have been completed!”
