Important seven wicket victory for Grappenhall

GRAPPENHALL claimed an important seven wicket victory in the “derby” game at Toft.

Winning the toss, they inserted the home side and bowled them out for 177.
Arav Shetty with 3-41 and Sam Guest, with 3-27 were the main wicket takers.
Grappenhall lost a wicket in the first over but after that the runs flowed, Shetty hitting 58 and Kiwi Tom MacRury hammering 76 from 32 balls, with eight fours and six sixes.Grappers coasted home on 180-3.

The weather robbed Warrington of a likely victory – and plunged them into a five wicket defeat hosting lowly Weaverham.
Warrington had hit a healthy looking 198-9 after being put in, opener Aamir Ali top scoring with a fine 73.
Weaverham started well in reply and at 80-2, the game was in the balance. But rain shortened the match and the visitors found themselves facing a revised target of 119 from 24 overs.
Brad Roden was bowling well, with 4-37 but Weaverham rose to the challenge and reached their new target with five wickets to spare.
The five points Warrington collected kept them at the top of the Cheshire League division one table, but their lead was cut to eight.
Lymm Oughtrington Park won b y 37 runs at Trafford Metrovics.
Antonnel Atwell top scored with 51 as Lymm batted first and posted 112. Then they bowled out the home side for 75 with Atwell again on form, taking 4-6 and Kishan Megharaj 4-15.
Appleton went down by five wickets in a low-scoring game at home to Malpas.

Put in first, they were bowled out for 90 with Guy Collighan top scoring with 32 before being run out.
The visitors reached their target with five wickets down in the 22nd over.
Glazebury lost by eight wickets after being dismissed for 84 in 27 overs by Wistaston Village at Hurst Lane.
Openers Ben Marote, 28 and Anthony Meulman, 29 gave Glazebury a good start, putting on 47 for the first wicket. But no other batsman reached double figures as the side was tumbled out.
The visitors hit off the runs in 12 overs.
