Road restrictions and footpath closure proposed for Creamfields

VARIOUS road and footpath restrictions will be in place for up to a week for the Creamfields Music Festival scheduled to take place over the August Bank Holiday Weekend from Thursday August 22.

20mph Speed Limit Restriction:
A56 Chester Road from the Borough Boundary with Halton to its junctions with Old Chester Road/Runcorn Road; Daresbury Lane from its junction with Warrington Road to the Borough Boundary with Halton.
Prohibition of Driving:
Entire lengths or road: Hatton Lane; Underbridge Lane; Warrington Road
Daresbury Lane from its junction with Warrington Road to the Borough Boundary with Halton; Hobb Lane from its junction with the A56 Chester Road to the Borough Boundary with Halton; Holly Hedge Lane from its junction with the A56 Chester Road to its junction with Runcorn Road; Old Chester Road from its northerly junction with the A56 Chester Road to its junction with Walton Lea Road; Park Lane from its junction with the A56 Chester Road to its junction with Warrington Road.
Prohibition of U-Turn:
Chester Road – To prohibit all vehicles proceeding in either direction on Chester Road between the Borough Boundary with Halton to its junctions with Old Chester Road/Runcorn Road from making a U-turn so as to proceed in the opposite direction as the case may be.
Clearway:
Entire lengths of road: Hatton Lane; Holly Hedge Lane; Pillmoss Lane; Underbridge Lane; Warrington Road
Daresbury Lane from its junction with Warrington Road to the Borough Boundary with Halton; Hobb Lane from its junction with the A56 Chester Road to the Borough Boundary with Halton; Park Lane from its junction with the A56 Chester Road to its junction with Warrington Road; Runcorn Road from its junction with the A56 Chester Road to its junction with Hobb Lane.
Footpath Closure:
Hatton Footpath No.12 from its junction with Hatton Lane to its junction with Gosling Close.
The Order will be effective from Thursday 22nd August 2024 for 1 week, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the restrictions. Temporary diversion signs will be erected on site detailing the associated alternative routes for the duration of the restrictions. The restrictions are required to facilitate the Creamfields Music Festival.
Rain and mud failed to dampen the spirits of thousands of Creamfields Music Festival revellers who attended last year’s event.
