THE annual Croft Carnival takes place tomorrow (Saturday) – and this year the event will have an Olympics theme.

There will be a variety of stalls and activities on the village playing field when the carnival officially opens at 1.30pm.

But before that, the carnival parade will start from The Plough Inn at 12 noon, with floats, bands and participants in fancy dress making their way through the village.

There will be a large variety of stalls and activities with something for everybody to enjoy, including a falconry display, dance, music, children’s entertainer, rides and much more. The carnival concludes with the world-famous Egg Throwing Competition – weather permitting.).
Entry onto the field is by programme only, one per adult, and under 16 can enter free of charge. Although programmes have been available in advance, they will still be available at the gate for £3, cash only, on the day.
