HAVING been the MP for Tatton since 2017, Esther McVey is delighted to welcome Lymm into the Tatton Parliamentary constituency at this general election, and hope local people will support me in the election.

I have already been out campaigning in the May local elections, and held a number of Q&A sessions with local residents in Lymm – something I do all year round across the whole of the Tatton constituency.
For those who don’t me, I was born in Liverpool and spent the first years of my life in care with Barnado’s. I studied Law at University, and did a Masters in Corporate Governance. I moved into the media as a TV presenter and producer, starting with the BBC and working with the wonderful Eamonn Holmes on GMTV.
I left the media to run my own business in the North-West, setting up the biggest women’s business network in the North of England, and establishing a charity to provide school pupils with careers advice, before moving into politics.
I am proud to live in the Tatton constituency, and pride myself on being accessible and visible in the local community, and getting results for local residents who seek assistance from me.
I know from my conversations with local people that there is a huge amount of concern regarding Warrington Borough Council being in debt to the tune of £1.8bn. This unsustainable debt level will mean the council will be spending huge sums each year on debt interest payments – servicing that debt – which should be money being spent on frontline services.
If you are good enough to elect me as your representative in Parliament, you can be assured that I will hold Warrington Council to account, be a champion for Lymm locally and in Westminster, and will always play an active role in the local community.
If anyone wishes to contact me they can do so at [email protected] or on 01625 522263.
