Well known PCSO retires after 18 years loyal service

AFTER 18-years loyal service to the Appleton area of Warrington, local PCSO Dave Mahon has officially retired.

PCSO Dave Mahon has left after a faithful 18 years of service where he has worked as the local officer for Appleton.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “Dave has been a fantastic officer, well respected by colleagues and partners alike across Warrington and will be greatly missed.
“We wish him all the best as he retires now to enjoy time with his family, his time on the beat chasing criminals has ended – but will be no doubt now be filled chasing around his granddaughter instead.”

Commenting on his retirement Dave said: “After an amazing 18 years serving with Cheshire Police I have finally hung my body armour up and retired. Thanks to my colleagues I have worked with over the years, and the public in my beat of Appleton. Some great memories I will have forever.
“I have even been awarded a few commendations along the way which I will never forget along with the Superintendent’s Recognition.
“So that’s me 20614 Mahon signing out for the last time. Family and Grandad time”
