STOCKTON Heath Music Society has extended its programme of concerts to stage a fundraising performance by the popular 2nd Rossendale Scout Group Band on Saturday, June 29.

It will be a fundraising concert to raise money to help meet the increasing cost of instrument hire for the band and will feature traditional brass band favourites, original works and classics from musical theatre – in fact a concert with something for everyone.
The concert will be at St Thomas’ Church Hall, Stockton Heath at 7.30 pm on June 29.

The 2nd Rossendale Scout Group Band was formed in 1963 and the senior band performs regularly across the North of England and in recent times has performed with many well known bands, including Fodens, Grimethorpe Colliery and Brighouse and Rastrick Bands and most recently with the current National Champions, the Black Dyke Band.
They have appeared at Windsor Castle for the late Queen and at many fine concert venues including the Bridgewater Hall, The Royal Northern College of Music, The O2 Arena, and Cologne Cathedral.
The band has more than 100 talented young members drawn from a wide area.
Tickets are £10 from Janet Gould (07814 243347) or through the website https://www.stocktonheathmusicsociety.co.uk/tickets-2
