Town rained off

WARRINGTON Town’s proposed league trip to Bamber Bridge has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch following heavy rain in the Preston area.
It is the second time this season Warrington have had their game rained off at Bamber Bridge – the first time in the FA Cup, with Town going on to win the replay 4-0.
Warrington had been hoping to continue their recent good form following last Saturday’s 4-0 victory over Garforth and 5-1 victory over Prescot Cables on Tuesday evening, both at Cantilever Park.
They will now be hoping to take their good form into Tuesday’s trip to League Two Macclesfield in the quarter-finals of the Cheshire Cup – kick off 7.45pm.
