Leisure centre an outstanding asset

LYMM Leisure Centre is an outstanding asset to the community – and membership is booming.
Members of the parish council were very impressed with the centre on a recent visit.
Cllr Sheila Woodyatt said: “We were very impressed with the improvements that have been made to the centre, the standards of cleanliness and the number of activities available.
“It is now doing well and is really an outstanding asset to the community.”
Cllr Woodyatt said a “gap” in membership had been plugged by an influx of new members.
Major improvements had been completed on the swimming pool and a new fitness suite opened, Work had been carried out on the women’s shower and the all-weather sports pitch.
A swipe card entry system for members was due to come on-line in January.
The leisure centre is owned and operated by Lymm High School.
