Burglary suspect arrested on scaffolding after large police presence descends on street

A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after a large police presence descended on a Warrington street earlier today.

It followed numerous police vehicles descending on Dail Street in the town centre shortly after 12.30 pm.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police confirmed: “At 12.37 pm on Monday, June 3, police were called to reports of an intruder at an address on Dial Street, Warrington.

“Officers attended the scene and located a 39-year-old man on scaffolding outside the building.

“The man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and is currently in police custody.”
