Three fire crews tackle coach fire on M56

THREE fire crews were called out to reports of a coach on fire on the M56 at Warrington.

At 20:35  last night (Wednesday) crews from Lymm, Warrington and Stockton Heath were called to reports of a coach on fire on the M56 eastbound.

The fire involving a coach was attended by firefighters who used two hose reels to extinguish it. There were no passengers on board.

A thermal imaging camera was also used to check the temperature of the vehicle.

The carriageway was closed while the incident was dealt with by police.
