PLANS for a change of use of a former florist’s shop in Manchester Road, Warrington have been given the green light by borough council planning chiefs.

The proposal involves converting the property to a takeaway restaurant.
It also also involves installation of ducting to take away kitchen fumes at the rear of the property which will match existing ducting at the shop next door – also a takeaway shop.

Documents presented to planners say there are no listed buildings in the area, although there are a number of small businesses.
No outdoor lighting is proposed.
The business will operate from 5pm to 11pm and there will be two or three staff on the premises at any one time.
Existing parking spaces in front of the shop will continue to be used.
The first floor of the building has planning convent for residential use.
