THE annual Croft Carnival is taking place on the Playing Field on Saturday, July 6 with an Olympics theme.
As “Croft Does The Olympics” be sure to look out for all the scarecrows when travelling through the village.
The Croft Carnival Parade will start from The Plough at 12 noon with floats, bands and participants in fancy dress making their way through Croft to the playing field, where the Carnival will officially open at 1:30 pm.
There will be a large variety of stalls and activities with something for everybody to enjoy, including a falconry display, dance, music, children’s entertainer, rides and much more. The Carnival concludes with the world-famous Egg Throwing Competition (weather permitting).
Entry onto the field is by programme only, one per adult and under 16’s can enter free of charge. Programmes can be purchased in advance from Croft Primary School, The Horseshoe, The General Elliot and The Plough for £2.50 or on the day at the gate for £3 each (cash only). Croft Carnival organisers say the event will provide a fun-packed day out for the whole family.
