IN three weeks time, Warrington Concert Series will host a brand new classical and jazz music event in Warrington.

From May 30th to June 3rd, Warrington Concert Series (WCS) will debut a series of classical and jazz concerts in Warrington. Combining outstanding performances with accessible ticket prices, WCS is encouraging all members of our community, regardless of their familiarity with the genre, to come and experience a wonderful line up of live performances. The event will form part of a wider range of musical events in Warrington throughout May.
With tickets starting at just £5.00 for children, £8 for concessions and £10 standard admission, the event promises an exhilarating lineup of live music. Featuring work from famous composers such as Liszt, Chopin, and Haydn to captivating jazz improvisations and cabaret songs, festival organisers urge community members to come and experience the spirit of live music on their doorstep.
The new 5-day festival will feature notable musicians including Jazz Duo Les Chisnall and Iain Dixon, Solo Soprano Jessica Hopkins and pianist Nico De Villiers, as well as a Piano Quintet Aestus String Quartet and Jordi Bitlloch.

The concerts from 30th May – 2nd June will take place at Wycliffe URC Church within walking distance of Central Station and the Golden Square Car park. For the final night of the debut series (3rd June), Warrington Concert Series have collaborated with Culture Warrington to host an intimate evening of piano and clarinet music at Warrington Museum and Art Gallery in the main gallery space..
Commenting on the event, festival director and pianist Joshua Kelly said: “This festival marks an exciting moment for Warrington’s music scene and cultural landscape. It’s an opportunity to immerse ourselves in the beauty of live classical and jazz music and experience some wonderful performances. We’d love to see as many people there as possible. ”
In addition to the professional performances, the Warrington Concert Series team will host a community concert open to Warrington-based pianists of all skill levels on Saturday 1st June.

The community event will provide a platform for local pianists of all ages to come together, perform, and enjoy an afternoon of music. Organisers welcome those who wish to watch and support to attend as audience members. Full details on how to get involved are available at warringtonconcertseries.com
