Festive fun in the town centre

WARRINGTON town centre is gearing up for plenty of festive fun in the run-up to Christmas – starting from today.
A Winter Craft Village will be set up in Bridge Street today and will be open from 10am to 4pm every Saturday until December 17.
But the Big Christmas Market weekend will be next week, on Saturday, November 26, when three different Christmas markets will be on offer, at Warrington Market, Bridge Street and at Hatters Row.
Market traders will set up shop on the market forecourt for their annual Christmas Market between 10am and 4pm.
There will be family entertainment throughout the day and Santa will be in his grotto, inside the Market Hall.
The Winter Craft Market will be back in Bridge Street and there will also be a Christmas Craft Fair at Hatters Row, in Horsemarket Street, with lots of gift ideas and crafts produced by local artists and craftspeople. This will be open every Saturday until December 17.
It’s not too late for local craftspeople to get involved. Anyone who wants a hut at the Winter Craft Village can find out for information at www.warrington.gov.uk/home/news/news_2011/November/Christmas_crafters_needed/
