Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 3, 4, 10 and 13 – but no-one claimed the jackpot prize. This will now be “rolled over” to next week. A £25 consolation prize was awarded to a member of hospital staff.

Choir’s support
MEMBERS of Warrington Male Voice Choir have given their support to the town’s bid to host games in the Rugby League World Cup in 2013. Chairman Joe Cainen said: “We believe if the tournament comes to Warrington it will really energise and reinvigorate the town – and we want to be part of that.”

Pot hole reminder
APPLETON Parish Council has sent a reminder to Warrington Borough Council that no work has been done on fill-in potholes in Firs Lane, Appleton – despite the borough undertaking to do the work last March.

Table top sale
BARGAINS will be available at an indoor table top sale at the community hall, Manchester Road, Hollins Green tomorrow (Sunday). Doors open at 11am.
Proceeds are in aid of local scouts.

Coffee morning
MEMBERS of St Elphin’s Parish Church Ladies Group, Howley, Warrington, are holding a coffee morning next Wednesday at 10.45am.
