FIRE crews from Warrington were called to a works premises last night after fire broke out involving a diesel generator.
The blaze was at a company located off Winwick Road and the incident had been caused by a build up of fumes in an exhaust system.
Staff from the firm had put out the blaze, using dry powder extinguishers, before firefighters reached the scene.
The fire service used hose reel jets to dampen down the area to ensure there was no further risk of outbreaks. No-one was hurt.
