A section of Manchester Road at Woolston will be closed later this month (March) for tree pruning works.
The proposed closure on Marchg 13 will be for a maximum of one day.
Warrington Borough Council has given notice it intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Manchester Road (unclassified) from its junction with Cliftonville Road to its junction with Bridge Lane.
The Order will be effective from 13th March 2024 for 1 day, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Parksway, Laxey Avenue, Cliftonville Road and vice versa. The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to carry out tree pruning works.

That diversion is completely impractical for large vehicles. Obviously the usual WBC planning cretins at work.
