MEMBERS of the autistic community had a magical evening out recently, when The A World UK took over the Land of Lights festival at Gulliver’s World in Warrington.

More than 1,000 people attended the event hosted by The A World UK – a Salford-based not-for-profit organisation which exists to support the autistic community across the North of England.
The organisation took over the Land of Lights festival trail, which features a one-mile-long wonderland of illuminations, to provide the autistic community with the chance to enjoy an enchanting experience in a safe, comfortable space, alongside other families who understand what it’s like to live with autism.

Adam Howell, managing director at The A World UK, said: “Our recent event at the Land of Lights left those attending mesmerised from start to finish, with nothing but glowing reviews.
“The staff at Gulliver’s World once again exceeded expectations, ensuring every moment was magical. Amidst the tranquillity, families revelled in the joy, feeling at ease as their children were able to authentically themselves within the safe embrace of our event.”

The event marked the fourth takeover by The A-World UK at Gulliver’s World, with tickets selling out in a matter of hours.
Craig Clews, resort director at Gulliver’s World, said: “We always look forward to welcoming The A World UK, along with the wonderful people they represent, to Gulliver’s.
“Big events can often be overwhelming for people with autism or other additional needs, and so we’re proud to provide a safe space where families from the autistic community can relax and soak up the magic of Land of Lights, making memories for life while feeling comfortable in their surroundings.”
