Firefighters alert police to two suspected arson incidents

FIREFIGHTERS in Warrington have alerted police to two suspected arson incidents in the town.

Last night shortly after 8 pm one crew was called to reports of a fire on Academy Way in the town.

Fire crews attended a small fire involving furniture that had been left outside. They used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames. Police were notified as this was suspected as a deliberate ignition.

The previous evening at 20:35 one crew from Warrington attended reports of a fire on Barbauld Street.

Firefighters extinguished an industrial wheelie bin fire with a hose reel jet. Police were informed as it was suspected to have been deliberate.
