POP singer and TV star Peter Andre is to switch on the Christmas lights at Warrington this year.
He will be heading to the hometown of old flame Kerry Katona to switch on the lights in Golden Square shopping centre. He will also perform some of his hits and meet some special fans at the ticket-only event.
The celebrity switch-on will take place on Friday, November 18 at the Old Marketplace from 5pm. Tickets are free but limited and will be available from Saturday November 5.
For those unable to secure tickets, the event will also be broadcast on a big screen at the bottom of Bridge Street.
The shopping centre will be running competitions for VIP tickets and the chance to meet Peter.
Golden Square marketing manager Ian Cox said: “We’re tremendously excited that such a high-profile personality has agreed to come and kick off our Christmas festivities here at Golden Square.”
