Three arrested and drugs seized in police raid

DETECTIVES from Warrington Proactive Policing Team have arrested three men in relation to the supply of illegal drugs in the town.

At around 10.25am today, Friday 9 February, officers entered at an address on Broadhurst Avenue, in the Sankey Bridges area.
As officers entered the property, the men ran out of the rear of the address. All three men were quickly identified and arrested nearby.
Following a search of the address officers recovered a quantity of heroin and crack cocaine, along with a machete and a flick knife.
The three men, aged 23, 19 and 18, have all been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. They all remain in custody at this time.

Following the arrests, Detective Sergeant Alex Reeves, said: “This morning we arrested three men, recovered weapons, cash and a quantity of illegal drugs.
“Illegal drugs have a devastating impact on not only drug users, but the community around them, and we’re committed to doing all we can to stop drug activity on our streets to make Warrington a safer place to live.
“Intelligence supplied by members of the public is crucial to this fight and I urge anyone with any information about suspected drug related activity in their community to get in touch.
“We will continue to tackle drug dealing and organised crime in Warrington and elsewhere in Cheshire head on, utilising all the resources at our disposal.”
