Police seek man following sexual assault on train

BRITISH Transport Police investigating an alleged sexual assault on a train in Warrington have released a CCTV image of a man they believe could assist with their enquiries.

On Wednesday 3 January at around 5 pm, the victim was on the train between Warrington Central and Warrington East railway stations.

A man had been staring at her when she boarded the train and after she took a seat he moved from his seat to the one next to her and sexually assaulted her.

She left the train at Warrington East and the man continued on the train until Liverpool Lime Street.
Officers from British Transport Police believe the man in the CCTV image may have information which could help their investigation.
