MPs on the buses

LOCAL bus company Network Warrington hosted educational visits for both of the town’s MPs.
Helen Jones MP,( Warrington North) and David Mowat (Warrington South), both visited the company for an information and education session with the chairman and company directors.
David Squire, managing director, commented, “We were delighted to host visits from both of the town’s MPs. It was an opportunity to show them how the company is modernising itself, talk them through issues that we face and inform them of our future developments.
“They also had time to tour the premises and were presented with a model bus to remember their visit to us. They both gave us very positive feedback about their visits and we look forward to working with them in the future”.

  1. How very delightful! Pity they were not given “… an opportunity to show them how the company is modernising itself…” by a tour around the many bus shelters where the written timetables are out of date and where the ‘new tech’ displays (when they are actually in working order) are still giving the old bus times. Or more ‘educating’ still -how about a long wait in the freezing cold, pouring rain at a bus stop with no shelter for a bus that is very late or doesn’t even turn up at all?!!!
