FIREFIGHTERS from Birchwood were called to Moat Lane, Rixton – near to the Rixton Claypits nature reserve – to reports of a car on fire.
Crew members wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze.
A thermal imaging camera was also used to check the vehicle for hot spots.
No details of the cause of the fire have been given.
