POLICE are seeking witnesses after an abandoned caravan was torched at Stretton at the weekend.

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service attended Spark Hall Close on Sunday evening due to unknown persons deliberately setting the caravan on fire.

Anyone with information to help identify who is responsible for either abandoning the caravan or setting it on fire, please call the police on 101.

On Sunday fire crews from Lymm and Warrington were called to reports of the caravan fire on Spark Hall Close.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
They then used a thermal imaging camera to check for sources of heat and dampen down hot areas, remaining on scene for around one hour.
