THE imaginative conversion of Warrington’s Old Post Office into a hotel has won a top award for the property group which carried out the work.

Priestley Construction, based in Chorley, won the best new small hotel construction and design award in Cheshire at the International Property Awards in London for the project.
The project was carried out for Deuce Hotels.
The group, established 11 years ago, also won awards for the best residential development in Cheshire and the best residential renovation project in West Yorkshire.
The International Property Awards celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry. A world-renowned mark of excellence, the awards are open to both residential and commercial property businesses from across the globe.
Nathan Priestley, founder and chief executive of Priestley Group, said: “ We are very proud of what we achieved, but to also receive third-party endorsement from the International Property Awards panel, is massively rewarding.”

The Old Post Office in Warrington is a Grade II listed building that was last occupied in 201.
Mr Priestley said: “Our aim was to deliver the best hotel in town, whilst also being sympathetic to the original listed building and keeping within a strict budget for our boutique hotel operator client. We finished the 21-room hotel last year. Each room is unique with its own kitchen and bathroom, and it’s already become a top-rated hotel that has set the bar in terms of quality and style in Warrington.”
