TWO Network Warrington bus drivers have been amongst the top 50 drivers in the country following the 45th Annual UK Bus Driver of the Year Finals held in Blackpool.
It was the first year that the company had competed with Dave Morley finished in 48th place and Charlie Rowley coming 50th.
They competed in written exams to test their Highway Code and industry knowledge, and a driving test along the North Promenade, on a very wet and extremely windy day.
For a first attempt they did incredibly well, beating a number of seasoned competitors that attend each year.
Managing Director, David Squire, commented, “I am absolutely delighted for both Dave and Charlie, they did really well and can hold their heads high. They are within the top 50 of all UK Bus Drivers and at their first ever attempt, we are all really proud of them”.
