THE Chairman of the RBL Culcheth Village Club, Paul Campbell, recently welcomed the Mayor and Mayoress of Wigan when they attended the club in support of the MAN Leigh CIC Charity night.
The evening raised funds for the Leigh based MAN Charity organisation which works to provide Per-To-Peer support for men with maybe just a chat or a brew and biscuits and if possible, a laugh.
The night was a great success with ukulele band The Rockets playing a great mixture of music for everyone to enjoy.
Cllr Kevin Anderson has selected the charity in his year as Mayor of Wigan to highlight the wonderful work it is doing in the community. The mayor thanked the people from MAN especially Mark Smith the organiser for the important work they are doing. He also thanked the band and the Village Club for putting on a wonderful evening and for their support for the Chairty. Cllr Anderson was accompanied by the Wigan Mayoress Smanatha Lloyd and his Cadet for the year Cameron Weir.
