AN exciting new career in teaching awaits graduates from a Warrington-based teacher training programme, which begins a new recruiting round this autumn.

Generate Teaching Hub – part of Warrington Primary Academy Trust – has released more places on its School Based Teacher Training programme.
And representatives from the programme will be available to speak to anyone interested in the programme at the Get Into Teaching event at Manchester Central this Saturday (October 14).
Linda Humphries, school direct manager at Generate Teaching Hub, said: “Teaching is a career like no other, providing you with an opportunity to make a profound difference to children’s lives.
“These Train to Teach events are a great opportunity to get expert advice from us on our training and life as a teacher, as well as getting advice on funding and your application, and talking to teachers about our course and connect with other people considering a career in teaching.’
Details of the courses offered by Generate are at Teacher Training – Generate Teaching Hub and applications can be made at Apply for teacher training – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).

To register at this Saturday’s Get Into Teaching event, which runs from 10am to 2.30pm, go to https://getintoteaching.education.gov.uk/events/231014-get-into-teaching-north-west-event
Generate’s School Based Teacher Training programme is a full-time, one-year, non-salaried course, with accreditation by Liverpool Hope University awarding a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Participants spend most of the time gaining practical classroom experience in schools across Warrington and Halton.
Trainees can choose one of three training routes: primary 5-11 years, primary 3-7 years and primary 5-11 years with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities).
Graduates of Generate’s training programme have gone on to begin successful teaching careers, with 16 teachers who trained with Generate currently working in WPAT and neighbouring schools.
