Village Hall – Leading the way with Warrington Community Lottery

1

WARRINGTON Community Lottery is a local initiative helping local charities and clubs, both large and small, to raise much-needed funds to keep them going.

Lottery players simply buy tickets in the lottery for £1 each and nominate the good cause they are supporting. 50% of every ticket purchased goes directly to the good cause and the lottery player has the chance to win up to £25,000 in each weekly draw.

Appleton Thorn Village Hall joined the Warrington Community Lottery in April to raise funds for the upkeep of the hall, its grounds, and continue to provide events for the community. It is now receiving a regular monthly income from the Community Lottery and some of its supporters have already won significant prizes in the weekly draw.
Appleton Thorn Village Hall has regularly been the CAMRA Club of the year and it is a vital part of the community – it is somewhere people can go, to be together and meet up for a drink and a chat, see friendly faces and enjoy the events that happen all year round.
Appleton Thorn Village Hall is now leading the way with the number of supporters getting on board to buy tickets each week to help make sure that it remains the hub of the community.
Jo Kay from Warrington Communbity Lottery said: “Get behind your local community by choosing a Good Cause with the Warrington Community Lottery and do something good for your town.”
