Extension plan refused

PLANNING chiefs have thrown out proposed for a first floor extension over an existing double garage at a house at Westbrook, Warrington.
Members of the borough council’s planning committee decided the scheme, in Falconer’s Green, would result in the house becoming “overly dominant” in a prominent corner plot location.
They agreed with officers who recommended the scheme refused because it would cause harm to both the character and appearance of the area and of the existing property.
