WARRINGTON Borough Council is organising a special event for 16-19 year olds called “Jump in… to education, training or employment.”
It will be held from 11.30am – 3.30pm on Saturday, September 10 in Old Market Place and is aimed at young people who are not currently studying, training or working.
Along with the chance to check out courses, job and volunteering opportunities on offer, attendees can also pick up CV tips and other advice.
They can also try their hand at floristry, construction, creative media, and performing arts during a series of practical demonstrations which aim to give an insight into specific careers and apprenticeships.
Cllr Colin Froggatt, the council’s executive member for children and young people’s services said: “I hope lots of young people and their families will take the time to come along to this event to find out more about the options currently available in the local area.”
