Police asked to investigate two suspected arson incidents following van and motorbike fires

POLICE have been asked to investigate two suspected arson incidents following a van fire at a barn in Burtonwood and a motorbike fire at Latchford, Warrington.

The first incident was at 23:27 on Friday evening when three fire crews were called to reports of a barn fire at Clay Lane, Burtonwood.

One fire engine from Warrington and two from Penketh were called to reports of a barn on fire, but on arrival found a van well alight. Wearing breathing apparatus they used a hose reel water jet to extinguish it. Police were informed as it is believed the fire was started deliberately.

Then at 04:11 on Saturday morning one crew from Warrington was called to Milton Grove, Latchford.
Firefighters used a hose reel water jet to extinguish a motorbike on fire. They informed the police as they believed it to have been started deliberately.
