GOLDEN Gates Housing Trust (GGHT) is launching an awards scheme to reward tenants and partners in Warrington.
Nominations are being sought for GGHT’s first ever Equality, Diversity and Inclusion awards which will reward those who have made a positive difference during the past 12 months. They will be presented at a ceremony on November 1.
Tenants can be nominated in three categories. The Individual Achievement Award, which recognises those who are open-minded and work with other tenants to remove barriers to inclusion.
There is also a Community Champion Award (for a tenant who has made a positive difference to their community) and an Involved Tenant Award (for championing equality and diversity in meetings).
Nominations can be made by completing the nomination form at www.gght.org.uk, by email [email protected] or by phoning GGHT free on 0800 25 26 27.
Entries should include the name of the person, the category the nomination is for and details of why you are nominating them. The closing date is Monday October 10.
GGHT’s equality and diversity officer Cam Kinsella said: “Over the past 12 months we have made real progress in improving equality and diversity across the trust and this could not have been achieved without the efforts of our tenants and partners.
“I would like to encourage as many people as possible to spend five minutes completing our form and give someone the recognition they deserve for doing a great job.”
Chief executive Peter Mercer said: “We are committed to celebrating diversity and eliminating discrimination.
“This event is a fantastic opportunity to recognise the hard work of our tenants and partners in removing barriers and making a positive difference for all sections of their community.”
