FOUR people – two of them children – were taken to hospital after a fire at a first floor flat at Warrington.
The fire was a property in Farrell Street and involved a cooker in the kitchen.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze with a hose reel jet but there was extensive fire damage to the cooker and part of the kitchen. There was heavy smoke damage in the kitchen, living room and hall.
The four occupants of the flat had escaped from the property before fire crews reached the scene but were taken to hospital suffering from the effects of smoke
