Industrial shredding machine ablaze

FIRE crews were called to deal with a well established fire involving an industrial shredding machine at Culcheth, near Warrington.
The blaze was at premises in Wilton Lane and firefighters had to use a main jet and two hosereels to extinguish the flames.
The shredding machine was damaged and about 200 sq metres of shredded timber was destroyed. No-one was hurt.
Fire engines from Warrington, Birchwood and Leigh were involved in the operation.
