A FIRE crew was called to assist with an unsafe structure after a lorry collided with scaffolding around a building at The Cross, Lymm, on Monday morning.

At 11:42 one fire engine from Birchwood attended at the scene.

They applied a cordon around the shop front and nearby walkways, asking police to attend to close the road due to the unsafe scaffolding and building. The scaffolding company was also asked to attend.
The incident was then handed over to police and the building owner.

The scaffolding has now been resecured around the Boots Chemist premises undergoing renovation works.
