Send that electoral registration form

PEOPLE in Warrington are being advised to complete their electoral registration form by September 6 – to avoid being visited by the council’s canvassing team.
The forms have been delivered to all households in the Warrington Borough Council area. Forms list the names of those at the property currently registered to vote.
The council needs this up-to-date information to ensure everybody who is eligible to vote can do so in next May’s local elections.
People can register to vote in Warrington if they live in the town and are over 16 (but cannot vote until 18), a British or Commonwealth citizen, a citizen of the Irish Republic, or a citizen of another EU country.
The council says that although people do not have to vote if they do not want to- it is a legal requirement to provide the information.
The new electoral register is due to be published on Thursday December 1.
